Not only do you have someone to share the pain with, haha, but it can also add a positive, competitive edge. Supporting each other to push that little bit harder, adding fun, games and a bit of banter.
Your commitment to your training can improve, helping you feel more motivated. You are less likely to cancel when meeting someone. It feels great to be looking forward to the workout not just for the exercise, but also for the chat and the time spent together.
You have time and space to talk. Quite often people exercise to help with stress. If you’ve had a stressful day / week or are going through a difficult time in your life, having the routine of scheduled workouts and a regular point of contact with a friend partner or trainer where you can talk and feel listened to can be a huge help.
Socialise without food or drink. Nowadays a lot of our catchups with friends or partners centre around meeting for a drink, a coffee, brunch, lunch or dinner. None of which I mind! But it’s great to have a different point of focus and gives you plenty more to talk about before, during and after your workouts.
Sian Rickard Personal Training will be offering two train for the price of one personal training sessions, for two people training together. This offer will be available to buy from 1st – 14th February 2019. (Limited personal training slots available. Maximum 6 sessions available per couple.
